and research
Are you or your loved one enrolled in a study or brain donation program and live outside the limits for the institution to remove the brain. We at MAPS can help remove and coordinating transfer of the brain to a research institution. Our staff goes directly to the Funeral home for removal, we have the ability to deep freeze (-80 degrees Celius) and formalin fix tissue samples.
In some cases, families wish to donate their loved one’s brain to a research institute for further studies.
For an example, an institute that studies neuropathological disease such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson to name a few.

remove a brain with potential or confirmed Mad Cow Disease, CJD (Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease), prion disease
and any rapid progressive dementia
(symptoms that started less than 6 months prior to death)
